Motors

The following motors have been obsoleted. Although most are available as a special order, the recommended replacements are both less expensive and have better performance.

QCI-CLRP-2, QCI-CLRP-4

After we introduced the QCI-CLCF-04-R2 (closed frame clamp module with an internal 2 ohm resistor), the Clamp Module Resistor Packs were no longer required. The QCI-CLCF-04-R2 can handle the full deceleration for any of our 34 frame motors. In those rare cases where the servo is in a continuous decel mode, external power resistors can be added to the QCI-CLCF-04 (see tech doc for details) and mounted to a user supplied heat sink.

SilverMax®

QuickSilver Controls and Animatics have reached a global settlement covering all fielded SilverMax® products. QuickSilver has paid Animatics a licensing fee covering fielded units, but may no longer produce or sell integrated motors. We are authorized to provide SilverMax® Repair Service for your existing units. The documentation for the SilverMax® units is only provided for legacy support, and does not constitute any offer to sell these units.

QuickSilver now offers several motor/encoder units as well as indexer/drivers units in a separated format which are software compatible to the obsolete SilverMax® units.
